Underrated Animated Films

I love animated films. I watch them whenever I can! There are soooooo many good animated movies out there from Ghibli studios, Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, and many more! However, I wanted to make a list of some of my favorite more underrated animated films - You can click on the pictures for trailers - :

Treasure Planet 

Probably the Disney character I can relate to the most, I loved the book Treasure Island, and this movie doesn’t dissappoint visually, in plot, or character development.

Quest for Camelot

I am a sucker for castles, medieval knights, and adventures, and this movie has them all.

The Secret of Kells

An artistic masterpiece. The animation alone is worth the watch.

The Thief and the Cobbler

Pretty old animation, but this film has got something. I don’t know what it is, but it’s something good.

Cats Don’t Dance

Good music, good story, great movie.

TMNT (2007)

Loved the cartoon growing up, the graphics in this version were phenomenal, and much closer to the original turtles than Michael Bay’s version recently.

Just a cool movie.

Batman: Mask of Phatasm 

This movie influenced me a lot as a kid. It’s soooo old…but soooo good!

The Road to El Dorado 

Why is this movie not more famous? It is too funny!

The Prince of Egypt 

A lot of movies like this fail in so many ways, but the Prince of Egypt was a monumental success in my opinion.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

A story of freedom and friendship with a Spirit that can’t die. One of the few remaining hand drawn disney films.

Robin Hood (1973)

This was made in 1973?? Robin Hood is such a legendary protagonist, and it is always THIS Robin Hood I think of first when I hear his name.

Made me laugh. Came out about the same time as “A Bug’s Life”, but I liked Antz much more.

Okay, so maybe this one was pretty popular, but I feel like it has been overshadowed by FROZEN. Frozen was great! But I think Tangled was even better. One of my favorite Disney movies eva!

How to Train Your Dragon 

This is another one that might just be toooo popular to be on this list, but just in case you haven't seen it, please do : ) 
So that is my list! If you haven’t seen any of these, I highly recommend them ^_^ I’m sure this list is not complete, but these were my initial thoughts on a particular 22 hour bus ride…haha
